The Startup & IT Promotion Cell, in collaboration with leading incubators like AIC GIM, BGIIES, CIBA, and FiiRE, has launched the Goa Startup Yatra to foster entrepreneurship among students. The programme begins with engaging workshops at educational institutions, where students learn from accomplished entrepreneurs and gain insights into launching a startup.

Two students from each institution then join an intensive bootcamp covering business management, marketing, finance, and legal aspects, equipping them to transform ideas into viable businesses. Outstanding innovators are offered one-year incubation support, including mentorship, funding, and resources, to help their startups thrive.

In line with the Hon’ble Minister of ITE&C’s vision to make Goa the Creative Capital of India, the Startup & IT Promotion Cell has launched First Fridays — a monthly meet-up bringing together Goa’s vibrant creative community.

The initiative unites designers, artists, architects, craftsmen, and creative entrepreneurs to collaborate on shaping Goa’s creative economy and laying the foundation for a State Design Policy. Through open discussions, strategy sessions, and idea exchange, the community aims to attract creative talent, build infrastructure, and raise awareness about the economic opportunities of a thriving creative sector.

This initiative invites startups and student innovators to collaborate with the Government of Goa and industry partners to address high-impact challenges in areas such as tourism, waste management, agriculture, public service and more. Selected participants will have the chance to pilot their solutions in real-world settings—completely free of charge.
